Terms & Conditions

LC Wigs Melbourne | Human Hair Wigs & Toppers - Terms & Conditions

Welcome to LC Wigs

We know wig shopping (especially online) can feel a bit overwhelming — so we’ve written these terms in clear, everyday language to help you feel confident before clicking “buy.” If you’re unsure about anything, just reach out.

These terms cover what you need to know about orders, customisations, returns, warranties, payment options and your rights under Australian law — so you can buy with confidence.

These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through LC Wigs’ online store, and where relevant, to in-store orders too. By purchasing from us, you’re agreeing to these terms in full.

1. About Us

LC Wigs ABN 51423058 809 is a boutique wig store based in Caulfield South, Melbourne. We make custom Virgin European human hair wigs to clients of all types, across Australia and worldwide . Our wigs are made of 100% virgin hair.

2. Definitions and Interpretation

“You” or “your” means the customer or purchaser.

“We”, “us” or “our” means LC Wigs.

“Sale wig” means a ready-made wig sold as-is without any personalisation.

“Custom wig” means a wig that has been modified, tailored, or made-to-order based on your specifications.

“Warranty” means a promise about the quality or lifespan of a product.

Liability” means being legally responsible for something.

“ACL” means the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Eligibility to Purchase

You must be at least 18 years of age or have consent from a parent or guardian to make a purchase from LC Wigs.

4. Order Acceptance and Refusal

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion — for example, if an item becomes unavailable, there’s a pricing error, or if we believe the order is not legitimate. If this happens, and you’ve already paid, we’ll refund you in full using your original method of payment. This helps protect both our customers and our business from errors or misuse.

5. Orders and Payment

All online orders must be paid for upfront. In-store orders for custom wigs require a 10% non-refundable deposit, and the balance paid at collection.

We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX). Your payment details are processed securely using SSL encryption and are compliant with payment industry standards such as PCI DSS.

Please note: the wig stays with us until paid in full. So if you have a special event or occasion coming up — like a wedding, holiday or photo shoot — please bear that in mind when choosing your payment option, as we can’t release the wig until the balance is fully paid.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We ship Australia-wide via Express Post or courier. Delivery time depends on your location. Once your wig is on its way, we’ll email you tracking details. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout.

We are not responsible for delays or loss due to incorrect address details provided by you. Risk (meaning responsibility for loss or damage) passes to you once the item has been dispatched. If your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe, please contact us at: or call us on +61 478 335 558.

7. Collection of In-Store Orders

If you’ve ordered a wig in-store and left a deposit, we will hold the wig for you for 6 months. If during that time it has not been collected, or we have not been contacted to put in place an arrangement, we reserve the right to cancel the order and keep the deposit. To be clear: if your wig is not collected within six months from the date of purchase, it will be treated as abandoned.

8. International Orders

We ship internationally on request. Please note that customs duties, import taxes, and any local charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

9. Cancellations

Custom orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. After that, the order becomes final because work on your personalised wig begins very soon after the order is placed and once this work starts, it can’t be undone or repurposed — so cancellation past this window isn’t possible. If you change your mind, just get in touch very quickly!

10. Pricing

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

11. Returns – Off-the-Shelf/Sale Wigs

You may return an off-the-shelf/sale wig within 7 days of receiving it if:

  • It hasn’t been worn or altered
  • It’s still in its original packaging
  • It has not been cut/coloured/altered in any shape or form
  • The lace has not been cut
  • You contact us first for return approval

If you need to return a wig, please send it back using Australia Post Express Post with Signature on Delivery (this is an optional extra — usually around $2.95). Return shipping is your responsibility.

If the wig is faulty under Australian Consumer Law — for example, if it’s damaged, not as described, or doesn’t work as it should — we’ll inspect it and, if confirmed, refund both the wig and the return shipping.

Please note:

If the wig shows signs of wear — such as altered lace, odours, visible residue, or styling changes — we reserve the right to return it to you and decline the refund.

We don’t refund shipping costs for change-of-mind returns or if the wig isn’t found to be faulty.

12. Returns – Custom Wigs

Custom wigs are made just for you — from the colour and length to the hairline and fit. Because they’re personalised to your needs, once we start working on your wig, the sale is final. This is due to hygiene reasons and the fact that custom wigs can’t be resold.

But if something doesn’t feel quite right, let us know. You have up to four weeks from pick-up or delivery to come back for small changes — like a trim, colour tweak, or fit adjustment — free of charge. We want you to love your wig and feel great wearing it.

13. Refunds

Refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) business days of approval and we will transferred into a bank account nominated by you.

14. Warranty (a promise about the product’s quality)

LC wigs come with a 6-month warranty that covers manufacturing faults, such as faulty stitching or wefts coming undone. However, some issues aren’t covered because they happen through normal wear, styling, or incorrect handling. These include things like lace tearing, lace stretching or fraying, shedding (some shedding is normal), heat damage, colour fading, and general wear and tear. If you believe your wig has a genuine manufacturing fault, just send us photos and a description of the issue. We may also ask you to return the wig so we can assess it properly.

15. Wig Care Requirements

Every wig comes with a care guide to help you keep it looking its best. Since our wigs are made from virgin human hair, they need gentle treatment — just like real hair. If not cared for properly, they can dry out, tangle, or get damaged.

Here are a few quick tips:

  • Brush daily from the bottom up using a ventilated brush (not a comb)
  • Never brush it when wet
  • Store it on a round stand or flat surface (not a hook)
  • Wash every 3–4 weeks with good-quality salon shampoo and conditioner

You can use heat to style, but be gentle

Don’t pull on the lace when adjusting

You can read the full care guide here: [Insert hyperlink]. Please note: Not following the care guide may void your warranty.

16. Repairs

We offer repair services for LC Wigs pieces. Cost depends on what’s needed and an approximate cost will be given before the work starts.

17. Gift Vouchers

Valid for 12 months from purchase. Can be used for any item in-store or online. Not refundable or exchangeable for cash.

18. Insurance Claims – Just So You Know

Some health funds offer rebates for wigs if you’re experiencing medical hair loss, such as from chemotherapy or alopecia. While we can’t give you specific advice about your eligibility, we’re more than happy to provide a receipt to support your claim. You may need to check your policy, provide a letter from your doctor, and follow your insurer’s claims process.

19. Limitation of Liability

(What this means: the limits of what we’re responsible for)

We’re not responsible for any damage caused by improper use or poor wig care, using the product in ways we haven’t recommended, or work done by third parties such as colouring, cutting, resizing, or styling. We’re also not liable for delays or issues caused by things outside our control, like postal disruptions, internet outages, or pandemics.

20. Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you have rights that guarantee products must be of acceptable quality, fit for their intended purpose, and match the description provided. If your wig doesn’t meet these standards, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund — depending on the nature of the issue. Nothing in our terms takes away or limits these legal rights.

21. Privacy

We collect your name, email, address and phone only to process and deliver your order. We never share your details unless necessary to complete your delivery.

22. Website Use

By using our site, you agree to these terms. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen or lighting. We strive for accurate product images, but colours may appear differently on various screens. If in doubt, contact us for additional photos or advice.

23. User Accounts

If you create an account on our website, you’re responsible for keeping your login details confidential and ensuring the information is accurate and up to date.

24. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on this website (including text, images, logos, and designs) is protected by intellectual property laws and may not be used or reproduced without permission.

25. Testimonials & Reviews

We may share your videos, reviews or feedback in our marketing. Just let us know if you prefer to stay anonymous.

26. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. By continuing to use our services, you agree to any changes.

27. Health & Safety Disclaimer

Our wigs are made from virgin human hair and other materials, and we use salon-quality products to colour, wash and style them. If you have any allergies or sensitivities, please let us know before you buy. We’re happy to provide more details, but it’s up to you to check if the wig is suitable for you.

28. Checkout Confirmation

Before placing your order, you’ll be asked to confirm you’ve read and accepted these terms by ticking a checkbox.

29. Contact Us

Got a question or a concern? Just want to say hi? We love feedback — it helps us improve and support the LC Wigs family even better.

30. Video consultation

We’re here to help you find the right wig — even if you can’t visit us in person. A video consult lets us chat about your hair needs, look at any areas of concern, show you some options, and answer your questions. Because we can’t physically examine your hair or head, we rely on what you show and tell us during the call. Clear photos, good lighting, and accurate measurements help us give the best advice — but results may vary depending on the info you provide.

31. Measurements

We provide a simple guide to help you measure your head correctly at home. It’s your responsibility to follow the guide carefully and send us accurate measurements. We’re not responsible for incorrect numbers, but if something doesn’t seem right or there’s an issue later on, we’re always here to help.

32. Buying Online

Our website is designed to make wig shopping easy and enjoyable from home. But please note — colours can look different on different screens, and head measurements taken at home are your responsibility. We’ll get in touch if something looks unusual, but we can’t guarantee a perfect fit or exact colour match every time. Online consultations help, but they’re not the same as seeing you in person.

33. Tying it all up

We’re passionate about helping you feel confident and comfortable in your hair. Every wig is crafted with care, and we aim to provide the best service possible. If you have any questions or concerns along the way, please reach out — we’re here to support you. By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms above, and we agree to treat you with fairness, honesty, and respect. That’s how we do things at LC Wigs.
