Every LC Wigs piece is handmade in our Melbourne studio, and we stand behind the quality of our work. This page explains exactly what’s covered under warranty, what isn’t, and how to make a claim if something goes wrong.
What’s covered
Every wig comes with a 6-month warranty from the date of purchase or collection. This covers genuine manufacturing faults, such as:
- Faulty stitching
- Wefts coming undone
- Other defects in how the piece was constructed
If you believe your wig has a manufacturing fault, get in touch with photos and a description of the issue. We may also ask you to bring or send the wig back in so we can assess it properly.
What’s not covered
Like your own hair, a wig changes with wear and styling – so the warranty doesn’t cover issues that come from everyday use rather than a manufacturing fault. This includes:
- Lace tearing, stretching, or fraying
- Shedding (some shedding is completely normal)
- Heat damage from styling tools
- Colour fading
- General wear and tearCaring for your wig (and protecting your warranty)
Every wig comes with a full care guide, and following it matters – not following it may void your warranty. Since our wigs are made from virgin human hair, they need the same gentle treatment as your natural hair:
- Brush daily from the bottom up, using a ventilated brush (not a comb)
- Never brush it while wet
- Store it on a round stand or flat surface – not a hook
- Wash every 3–4 weeks with good-quality salon shampoo and conditioner
- Heat styling is fine, but go gently
- Avoid pulling on the lace when adjusting

Making a claim
If something doesn’t seem right with your wig:
- Get in touch with photos and a short description of the issue
- We’ll let you know if we need the wig sent back in or brought into the studio
- We’ll assess it and confirm whether it’s covered under warranty
